I hope to have a very beautiful garden one day, where many insects can thrive and maybe some humans too.

Antilochus greets me in a dream.

Within the meadows of Asphodel,

we were faced.

Holding two lanterns in each hand,

his right remained unlit.

unfulfilling figure in contradiction

guides my paralleled sight.

Enshrined on the mound

of an unknown promontory,

my grave lay

I search for the path of the in between,

but find the door, far too narrow.

The man stands,

calmly swaying me

back to slumber.

I awaken,

the violent stench of gloaming

holds a veil over my eyes,

blended within the charcoal canvas.

the shrine reminding reality,

a crack in the curtain leaks light.

An insignificant leak,

Of white perennials

stain the bedroom,

with cleansing color.

my eyes, acclimate to its light

prodigal familiarity,

the subtle warmth dissipates.

I am reminded of the man.

Discerning the manner

in his cotton grin.

Unmemorable pallor stature on

of obscurity.

a dried pumice stone grazes

my painful recollection.

Introduced to fertile afterlife,

of paradox he spoke through,

of the path he offered.

impending existence

was my promise,

the mediocre shadow of my fate.
